Little is known about Silicon Ranch
Thank you for the in-depth response to the questions on the Innovation Center. I’ve already talked to several people who appreciated the more in depth information provided. In depth, factual journalism is greatly appreciated in today’s world of sound bites.
Which leads to the next item for discussion–the Silicon Ranch project in Moore County. While there has been much said about the impacts on Moore County and the various funding agreements to assist Lynchburg, little has been said about impacts on Coffee County and Tullahoma. For example, what is the actual location of the Silicon Ranch? It’s in Moore Country, but is it near Lynchburg or is on the border of the Tullahoma city limits? When will heavy construction start? How long will it last? How much construction traffic, whether cars or heavy trucks will there be on a daily basis? What roads will that traffic be on? Where will the construction entrance be? Will there be damage to Tullahoma roads? Will Tullahoma receive any benefit or compensation for the impacts?
Much has been said, but little is known about this project. It would be great to see the same analysis applied to the Silicon Ranch project.
