James Michael Warner, III Obituary

James Michael Warner, III, 69, of Lafayette passed away Friday afternoon, March 14, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, March 21, 2025, at noon from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Father Charles Aketch officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park with Military Honors.

Major James Michael “Mike” Warner III, born Nov. 16, 1955 in Gallatin, born to the late James Michael Warner, JR. & Ana Catherine Seigenthaler Warner and departed this life March 14, 2025 at the age of 69 years, 3 months, 26 days. Born in Gallatin and raised in Tullahoma, Mike graduated from Tullahoma Senior High School in 1973, and then Middle Tennessee State University, before enlisting in the United States Army. He served his country from 1978 until 2006, when he retired from the Army National Guard. Mike is preceded in death by his parents James Michael Warner Jr. and Ana Catherine Seigenthaler Warner, his brother, William Joseph “Bill” Warner; and his sister, Kathleen Theresa “Katie” Randle (Randy).

He is survived by his wife, Karen Alecia Draper Warner, sons, James Michael Warner IV (Daphne) and Matthew Edward Warner; sisters, Sister Jean Marie Warner, Margaret “Maggie” Kulback (Barry), and Mary Word (Bill), brother, Patrick Warner (Laura), as well as several nieces and nephews.
