The Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce is making the call to residents to submit their nominations for the annual Women Impacting the Community awards luncheon with the deadline falling on April 20.
Since 2015, the chamber has celebrated women in the Tullahoma community making a difference in the areas of business, education, community service and lifetime achievement. Winners have included women working or owning business, lifelong community volunteers, educators and administrators and more.
Last year’s honorees were Sue Wilson for business, Samantha Zimmerman for education, Joanna Reynolds for community service and Donna Hamilton for lifetime achievement. This year the chamber opened nominations earlier this month and they will accept nominations until Sunday, April 20.
“Nominations are open until April 20,” chamber officials said. “Let’s celebrate the women who are shaping our community with their passion and dedication.”
This year’s awards luncheon will take place at noon Tuesday, May 20, at The Atlantic, located at 205 N.W. Atlantic St. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased by visiting the chamber’s website, emailing tullahomachamber@tullahoma.org or by calling 931-455-5497.
The event sponsors include title sponsor SmartBank and award sponsor Woodard’s Diamonds & Design and finalist sponsor Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital. This year’s featured speaker has yet to be announced and the award finalists will be received following the May 1 nomination deadline. Anyone who like to make a nomination in any of the four categories can submit their nominations here. For more about the event and to buy tickets, visit the website here.
