Joey Ray Steele Sr, 67, of Cowan passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.  Joey was born on April 18, 1957, in Cowan to the late Eli Shadrick and Mary Helen (Sells) Steele.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at noon from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Cowan Montgomery Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
