Margaret Geneva Banks, 89, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at Elk River Health and Nursing Center.  A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on November 12, 1934, to the late Elzie Vann and Rosa Mae (Judge) Sanders. 

Visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral services following in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Tim Britton officiating.  Interment followed at Owens Chapel Cemetery.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
