Tullahoma City officials recently announced the promotion of Paige Jackson to the role of Assistant Finance Director in the Finance Department.
Jackson began her career with the city in May 2016 as the Purchasing Officer and has served in that role for eight years.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Paige over the last eight years,” Sue Wilson, Tullahoma’s Director of Finance, said. “She brings a high level of knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm to our department, and that reflects in the high quality of work that she produces for our city and our department.
Wilson added along with her new duties, Jackson requested to keep functions of her previous position in working with the individual departments on purchasing and budgeting.
“I’m excited to have her in this new role with us,” Wilson said.
Jackson is a graduate of University of Tennessee Chattanooga with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance in 2012, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Tennessee Tech University in 2015. She then earned her Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO) certification from the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office in 2017. In her time as Purchasing Officer, she was responsible for purchasing policies, contracts and bids, and financial reconciliation. She also played a major role in multiple department awards for the city’s Finance Office, including the prestigious Government Finance Officer’s Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for Fiscal Year 23, and multiple GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Her promotion went into effect on July 8th, 2024. She replaces former Assistant Finance Director, Jason Ray.
“During Paige’s time with the city, she has displayed extraordinary skills and knowledge in municipal finance which has led her to this new position,” City Administrator Jason Quick said. “Her commitment in working closely with our department heads to identify areas of critical cost savings and procedural efficiencies has been quite valuable and makes her an integral member of the Finance Department team.”
Quick added that as the city seeks to introduce technological financial enhancements to its operations, Jackson’s knowledge and guidance will be a key factor in leading her team in meeting the growing needs of the community.
“I am excited for my next role with the City of Tullahoma,” Jackson said. “I am grateful for this opportunity to take the next step in my career, continue to keep the city’s financials running smoothly, and make sure our departments have what they need to be successful for our citizens.”
