The Celtic Cup celebrates 15th anniversary

It was a time celebration the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day as friends, family and customers celebrated The Celtic Cup’s 15th anniversary.
Prior to the anniversary ribbon cutting, owners Denise and Chris Smith welcomed and thanked everyone for celebrating the coffee shop’s anniversary.
“It’s been a long time for us, maybe not so much for y’all, but it’s been an amazing ride,” Denise said. “We’ve always had a great community and amazing friends supporting us and, by the grace of God, here we are 15 years.”
Denise added that the day was to celebrate, have fun and thanked everyone who has welcomed both her, Chris and their family for the last 25 plus years living in the community.
“Thank you so much Tullahoma and communities around who have come out and supported us,” Denise said.
She told attendees that The Celtic Cup has had visitors from not just Middle Tennessee, but from out of the state stop by the coffee shop. The Celtic Cup has also featured on Destination Tea’s website and Nashville Public Television’s “Tennessee Crossroads”, which Denise wouldn’t have been possible without the support they have received over the years.
“You said how much you loved us and got the word out there so thank you so much,” Denise said.
Chris shared with attendees that when they first opened The Celtic Cup, Denise put up a sign in the kitchen that read “Nothing worth doing is ever easy,” and he said that has been their motto for 15 years.
They then gathered everyone outside to cut the ribbon, though instead of using the scissors from the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce, Chris instead brought a sword for the occasion to cut the ribbon. The rest of the weekend was filled with St. Patrick’s Day festivities and giveaways.
The Celtic Cup is located at 106 N. Anderson St., with business hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, visit The Celtic Cup’s Facebook page or its website at thecelticcup.com.
