Joe D. Lendley Obituary

Joe D Lendley, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 at his home at the age of 80.

Mr. Lendley was born in Lynchburg to the late George and Matte Rendy Riddle Lendley. During his life he worked as a superintendent for TUB and retired after over 45 years of service. He also served his country in the United States National Guard and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lendley was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Blankenship; and three brothers, Marshall Lendley, Ed Lendley, and Willard Lendley. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Lendley; one son, Allen Lendley; additional children, Stephanie (Rodger) Martin, and Jason (Sonya) Brown; three brothers, Jerry Wayne (Ann) Lendley, Billy (Cathy) Lendley, and Ted (Sarah) Lendley; one sister, Audrey Farris; grandchildren, Ashley (Brent) Carlton, Cody (Cassie) Lendley, Ellie Lendley, Austin (Hannah) Brown, Dalton (Heather) Brown, and Jordan (Christy) Martin; and great-grandchildren, Brenley, Brooklyn and Briley Carlton, Arabella, Elias and Gideon Lendley, EllaMae and Gibson Brown, and Isaac Brown.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 5 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with the funeral to immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Tim McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. 

Kilgore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
