Danny Lynn McDonald, 81, of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at Alive Hospice Hospital of Nashville. Born in Sewanee to the late Fess McDonald and Hallie McDonald (Austin), Danny had a happy childhood growing up in Cowan. Visitation for Mr. McDonald will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1 p.m. from the chapel with Rev. Dr. Michael Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Cowan Montgomery Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of any hospice of your choice.
