It’s not superstition as the Motown tribute act the Motowners make their return to Tullahoma this weekend as part of South Jackson’s Performing Arts Series.

The Motowners will take the stage at South Jackson Performing Arts Center on Sat, Nov. 4, with show time at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by either calling the box office at 931-455-5321 or by visiting southjacksonciviccenter.thundertix.com.

According to Peggy Burton, Chairman of the Performing Arts’ series, there will be an opening act consisting of local talent performing in the front reception room at 6:15 p.m. The group, the Hometowners, consisted of residents Sernobia McGee, Annette Veals, Emma Coleman, Beth Hamilton Taylor and Kelly Lady. She added there will be BBQ dinner items and drinks from the Spotlight Lounge available for purchase starting at 6 p.m.

The Motowners are a tribute music act that performs songs from well-known Motown acts, including the Temptations, The Four Tops, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and so on. The group was founded by producer Derrick Hadley in 2005, and their unique, family-friendly show, along with their sound approach, is still a favorite among audiences. They have toured extensively performing at outdoor events, cruise ships, casinos and adult communities.
