Leaf season leaves at end of month
C
According to Public Works Director Butch Taylor, The Tullahoma Public Works Department will end the leaf pickup for the season on Feb. 28, 2023.
The city is divided into four zones for the leaf collection, and each zone has a specific route list public works follows. In order to determine what zone their street is on, residents may look online at https://www.tullahomatn.gov/207/Leaf-Collection or call Public Works at 931-454-1768.
Citizens are free to rake their leaves as close to the curb as possible; however, leaves cannot be placed in ditches or in the streets, as it would pose a safety hazard for drivers. If citizens rake leaves to the curb, the city requests: that the piles not exceed 2 feet in depth, not be placed more than 5 feet away from the curb or shoulder, not block storm drain inlets and not contain tree limbs, stumps, or any other debris, as it may damage equipment or injure employees.
Residents may also rake and bag their own leaves in biodegradable bags offered by the city or sold at any retail store. Once residences have their leaves bagged and placed at the curb, they may call public works at 931- 455-1768. Residents who would like to bag their own leaves can pick up bags at City Hall located at 201 W. Grundy St.
