The Hands-On Science Center (HOSC) is gearing up for its birthday party this weekend, and it’s inviting the community to celebrate 36 years of sparking curiosity, encouraging exploration, and inspiring generations of young scientists through engaging, hands-on STEM learning.

The community is invited to celebrate this milestone during the Hands-On Discovery: 36 Years of Possibility! Birthday Bash, a fun-filled day of science, discovery, and family entertainment on Saturday, Aug. 15.

The celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the science center’s campus, located at 101 Mitchell Blvd. in Tullahoma. Families of all ages are invited to enjoy a full day of exciting activities while celebrating more than three decades of making science accessible and engaging for the region.

The Birthday Bash will feature live science shows, interactive indoor and outdoor activities, special birthday surprises throughout the day and handson experiences for children and families. Special membership discounts available during the event.

“This celebration is about more than marking 36 years—it’s about celebrating the thousands of children, families, educators, volunteers, members, and supporters who have made the Hands-On Science Center a place where curiosity comes to life,” Austin Sisco, HOSC Executive Director. “We’re excited to welcome our community for a day of discovery while looking ahead to the next generation of scientists, engineers, innovators, and lifelong learners.”

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, HOSC depends on community support to continue providing high-quality STEM education through exhibits, camps, homeschool programs, field trips, afterschool learning opportunities, and special events. Community celebrations like the Birthday Bash help raise awareness of the Center’s mission while bringing families together to experience the excitement of science firsthand.
