A body has been recovered from Tims Ford Lake earlier this week, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying the person.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Oct. 6, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office shared that investigators and emergency personnel recovered a deceased individual from Tims Ford Lake and were working on identifying the individual.

“At this time, the identity of the individual has not been confirmed, and investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death,” the sheriff’s office stated. “Additional information will be released as it becomes available and as family members can be appropriately notified.”

The sheriff’s office is asking the public for assistance and said if anyone knows of any person currently missing or unaccounted for and may be connected to the incident, they should get in touch with Franklin County Consolidated Communications at 931-967-2331, or contact the sheriff’s office directly.
