TE Connectivity will move its Customer Fulfillment Center (CFC) from Tullahoma to El Paso, TX, and plans to close the facility in February 2027.

Rumors of the shutdown started spreading on Facebook when, in the public group Tullahoma Talk, a user posted that they had heard that an employer in Tullahoma was “laying off 160 people and shutting down.” Several users commented on the post stating it was TE Connectivity, specifically the CFC at 67 Murray Drive. Some of the users were allegedly current or former employees, stating that other locations were also laying off staff.

The News reached out to TE Connectivity and asked for confirmation, and received the following statement from a TE Connectivity spokesperson:

“As a result of a continuous business analysis and to streamline our fulfillment processes, TE Connectivity has decided to transfer the operations of our Customer Fulfillment Center from Tullahoma to our global facility in El Paso, Texas. We have informed employees that the site will close in February 2027. We will provide the 47 affected employees with severance pay, benefits continuation and outplacement services to assist them in their transition. TE will continue to operate our manufacturing plant in Tullahoma, where we have a workforce of more than 160 employees.”

This isn’t the first change at TE Connectivity that affected employees in Tullahoma. Towards the end of 2024, TE Connectivity confirmed its Industrial & Commercial Transportation business unit had decided to move select product lines from other locations to “become more agile in responding to the evolving needs” of customers. These lines included the Tullahoma location, which in turn caused layoffs. A TE Connectivity spokesperson at the time said those employees affected were provided with severance pay, benefits continuation and outplacement services to assist them during the transition.
