Daylight Saving Time to fall back on Nov. 1

It’s that time of year once again, as all clocks are to fall back next month in preparation for colder days ahead during the remainder of 2026 into early 2027.
Beginning Sunday, Nov. 1 at 2 a.m., all clocks are to fall back by an hour once again, providing an extra hour of rest while also bringing earlier sunrises and sunsets each day, a tradition which began in 1918 with the passage of the Standard Time Act of 1918. However, earlier this year, a new bill was passed in the U.S. House of Representatives that aimed to permanently end the annual time change and keep the clocks remaining at the current time. President Donald Trump himself supported and urged officials to pass the bill and make the removal permanent. Despite this, the bill hasn’t passed through the Senate, leaving the annual time change to remain this year.
