Tullahoma turns out for The Celtic Cup Coffee House

The 17th anniversary celebration for the Celtic Cup Coffee House held on St. Patrick’s Day was quite the community celebration. Piper Ed West played bagpipes during the day. Father Murphy conducted a Blessing Ceremony, and the Triquetra Irish Dance Group danced.
There was free Lucky Leprechaun coffee, and, of course, corned beef and cabbage was added to the menu for the occasion, as well as bangers and mash. Door prizes were given out during the day. The crowd started showing up not long after the doors opened, and they showed up all day.
Hope Sartain Nunley, with the Chamber of Commerce, spoke, calling the Cup the “cornerstone of connection” for Tullahoma, and the “heartbeat of what we do.” Tullahoma Alderman Matthew Bird also spoke, and reminisced about being in the Smith’s Boy Scout troop years ago. He credited the Cup with being “a part of what makes Tullahoma unique.”
Unique indeed. The Cup’s old world pub ambiance and menu make it a favored spot in Tullahoma. It is a special place to take out-of-town guests, many of whom return. Tullahoma did not disappoint in celebrating with the Smiths on their 17th year. Here’s to many happy returns. Slainte!
