Sheriff Partin announces reelection bid

Sheriff Chad Partin has announced his candidacy for reelection as Coffee County Sheriff during the upcoming May primary.
His announcement reads: “I am Chad Partin your Coffee County Sheriff. I have been blessed to serve as your Sheriff since 2018.
I came in with a plan and a mission.
SROs in all the county schools. DONE Started weeklong kids’ camp for SRO school cadets. DONE Restructure the department chain of command to simplify the flow of responsibilities. DONE Control of budgeting and prioritizing needs. DONE New uniforms for the patrol division deputies to have a clean professional look. DONE Scrub medical billing to negotiate cost savings and secure money returned for state inmate costs to the county. DONE Entire new communications system not only for the Sheriff’s Office but for all of Coffee County’s Public Safety. DONE Keep the jail state certified each year. DONE Formed a Special Investigations Unit to work major drug and violent crimes. DONE Organize all training files and timely submissions to the state. DONE Digitizing thousands of archived records at old jail. DONE Created department motor pool to service fleet saving thousands of dollars annually. DONE Utilize reasonable grants that have zero to minimal cost sharing. DONE Implementing inmate specialized work crew to assist in trash pickup and community projects. DONE Finally becoming competitive with surrounding law enforcement on pay without a tax increase. DONE This administration has worked and accomplished many tasks in the past 7 years.
The future: We are going to invest in radar for patrol. A growing county brings more traffic, and speed complaints are on the rise.
We are going to implement a senior outreach program for our older citizens if they or their families want them to receive a daily phone call from the Sheriff’s Office. This program will help save lives of those who may not have family or loved ones close by. Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in falls or sickness that may go unnoticed with our rural seniors. This will also give them, and their families, comfort, that daily contact will be made.
More than ever, we must be vigilant with tax dollars. Many may not know that the Sheriff’s Office operates the second largest budget in the county and has the most liability. There is more to the office than just chasing the criminal element. MANAGEMENT! You must be able to manage the business at home and at work. This administration has never gone over budget and has been over 4.5 million returned or saved in the past 7 years.
I am 53 years old. I am a lifelong resident of Coffee County. I have served for 34 years. I have worked in many positions throughout my career. I have served and chaired many boards and committees from the local level to the state level.
My wife, Leann, and our two children, Maggie and Will, reside in Manchester. I humbly ask for your support and VOTE in the Republican Primary to RE-ELECT CHAD PARTIN Coffee County Sheriff. “EXPERIENCE COUNTS” Early voting begins April 15th and Election Day is May 5th.”
