Memorial Day will be observed May 22 at the History Park in Tullahoma.

According to Sandy Sebren of the Shady Grove Garden Club that sponsors the annual event, services will be held at 11 a.m., May 22 with Gen. Bart Burton (retired) of Tullahoma serving as keynote speaker. Patriotic music will be played by Dr. Hope Koehler and Lisa Maurer.

During the event this year’s new pavers will be dedicated. The pavers line the Veteran’s Memorial Walk at History Park, memorializing those who have served their country. The Club will also be honoring scholarship recipients from the local high schools.

“Put on your red, white and blue and come expecting your spirts to be lifted with a grateful heart,” Sebren said in issuing an invitation for the public to attend.
