A man faces burglary charges after police on routine patrol caught him allegedly cutting into a storage unit.

The suspect, Phillip Blake Moss is charged with burglary and theft for forcing entry into a storage unit that did not belong to him. Police revealed they were patrolling the “high crime area” when they came across Moss and woman.

“He had made entry into a unit and had filled their vehicle to capacity with items from the unit,” the police report reads, noting the woman did not admit involvement in the break-in.

Police went on to find burglary tools in the suspect’s vehicle.

“The officer discovered a hacksaw and pry bar in the suspect’s vehicle,” the report noted.

The estimated amount of theft of the items taken from the unit was placed at $6,000.
