Vietnam War Veterans Day will be observed March 29 at 2 p.m. at South Jackson Civic Center in a program sponsored by the Tullahoma Chapter of the NSDAR. The GFWC Centennial Woman’s Club will provide lapel pins. The event will be held inside in case of bad weather.

Vietnam War Veterans Day is an annual observance to recognize veterans who served in the U.S. military during the Vietnam War.

“The Tullahoma Chapter of the NSDAR is a Commemorative Partner with the United State Department of Defense in recognizing and honoring all U.S. military veterans who served in Vietnam, regardless of location (Nov. 1, 1955 to April 30, 1975),” the announcement for the event reads. “The Tullahoma Chapter is joined by the city of Tullahoma, American Legion Post 43 and the Tullahoma JROTC.”

The program will conclude with the raising of the Vietnam War Commemorative Flag.
