In celebration of World Safety day on April 28, Sonoco celebrated with a visit from the Tullahoma Fire Department. 

More than 20 Sonoco employees were trained and certified on the safe use of fire extinguishers. Other World Safety Day activities included the launch of a new safety program “Doing Safety Differently”, along with lunch cooked and served by the Sonoco management team. Additionally, two new safety activity committees were created to engage Sonoco team members with creating a safer work environment.

“Doing Safety Differently is all about going to where the work is happening and working alongside our team members to develop collaborative solutions to everyday safety concerns,” organizers noted. “The Sonoco team is excited about the ‘Doing Safety Differently’ campaign and is very appreciative to the Tullahoma Fire department in helping us celebrate World Safety Day.”
