The Tullahoma middle school tennis season came to a close after the CTC tournaments. The Wildcats lost in the team championship semifinal to Shelbyville, but they were dominant in the singles championship.

The singles tournament went very well on the boys’ side. Both of the competitors in the championship game were from Tullahoma. Gage Allen and Edward Henry faced off against each other for the title. Their match went to a tiebreaker and Allen ended up winning the match 7-5. For the girls’ team, Mary Pierce Jordan had the best singles finish at third place.

The Wildcat girls struggled as a team on the year, not winning a team match, but Coach Ryan Woodward said they showed a lot of promise. The boys’ team picked up some wins throughout the year and ended with a 6-5 team record.
