A little flame

A tiny little campfire

Will provide very little heat

It will soon die out

Without even warming your feet.

It won’t cook your dinner

It won’t keep you warm

If predators are present

It won’t protect you from harm.

So a tiny little campfire

Is of very little value

But fan that spark

And see what it can do.

Blow on that little flame

Energize it with you breath

Strengthen it to become a white-hot fire

Rescue it from death.

God’ Holy Spirit is also a flame

Waiting to be rescued

Fan it with your prayers and soon

That white-hot fire will burn within you!
