Five-point plan to raise your taxes

Step one: Elect people who don’t know how to run a government, are in legal jeopardy and hold personal grievances against the city.

Step two: Halt all new residential development by spreading lies, posting signs and belittling the overwhelming public opinion about a desperate need for higher-density housing in our city.

Step three: Pretend that local elections don’t matter and do not participate in them through early voting or Election Day voting.

Step four: Ignore the reality that a functional, responsive government is more important than anything, including the perceived threat to your business if you take a public stand for what you believe in.

Step five: Hope it all goes away on its own.
