Suicidal man steals ambulance

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a stolen ambulance in Winchester this past week.
“Our patrol units were notified that the vehicle was traveling East on I24, but our deputies were unable to make contact with the vehicle,” the report revealed. “Officers in Marion County made contact with the ambulance, and the vehicle stopped on Chasey Simpson Road on an interstate overpass.”
A standoff began as the driver of the ambulance, Cameron Seisan, was armed with a pistol and threatened to commit suicide. Marion County Sheriff’s Department requested mutual aid from several neighboring departments, and members of our department responded to assist with the situation. Mr. Seisan was taken into custody without injury and transported to Erlanger Health in Chattanooga for treatment.
Mr. Seisan will face charges in Marion County when he is released from the hospital. Charges are also pending in Franklin County.
