Trick or Treat? Tullahoma celebrates Halloween

KYLE MURPHYStaff Writer

There was no need to “smell some feet” or “pull down anyone’s underwear” like the kid’s rhyme goes this spooky season as children and adults were out celebrating Halloween this past weekend.

Over the weekend and into Monday evening, the Halloween spirit was alive and well as the Tullahoma community were out in strides as several local churches and businesses played host to festivals and trunk-or-treat events.

The majority of the trunk-or-treats and fall festivals took place this past Sat, Oct. 28, with the Hands-On Science Center kicking off the day with its fall festival starting at 10 a.m. with its trunk-or-trick event starting at noon to 3 p.m. The event saw a consistent line of trick-or-treaters, with HOSC officials estimating that they had over 500 visitors. Other events include businesses and local churches like Myers Customs and Automotive, Exit Noble Realty, Experience Community Church and Kings Cross Church.

The festivities did not stop there as more churches like Grace Baptist Church, the church of Christ at Cedar Lane, Tullahoma First Church of the Nazarene and Wesley Heights United Methodist Church held their respective trunk-or-treats on Sun, Oct. 29.

The spooky season continues tonight, as businesses in downtown Tullahoma opened their doors for trick or treaters, as well as more businesses and local churches hosting more trunk-or-treats and fall festivals to conclude the day.

More photos and coverage from Halloween in downtown Tullahoma and this past weekend will be featured in the Sunday edition of the Tullahoma News.  Photos are still being accepted either through our Facebook page or by emailing to dsherrill@tullahomanews.com.
