Young musicians take the stage for 10th annual concert

Some of Tullahoma’s musically talented high school students are set to take the stage for the 10th annual Young Musician Showcase Sun, Nov. 19, at South Jackson Performing Arts Center.
“Celebrating our 10th anniversary, this event, first presented in 2014, was created to exhibit the talents of students who study in the genre of classical music,” event organizers said. “As Tullahoma is the home of many fine music teachers, this showcase will feature some of the best students from private studios of local music teachers.”
The young musicians will be performing in the annual concert at 2:30 p.m. Sun, Nov. 19, at South Jackson Performing Arts Center and will feature the top musicians from music teachers in Tullahoma including Peggy Burton, Doug Clark, JD DeGolia, Melissa Hinds, Rebecca Murphy, Lisa Maurer and Tom Maurer. The Young Musician Showcase has been an annual performance since 2014.
Tickets for the showcase is $10 in advance or $12 at the door, and can be purchased at either southjackson.net or by calling the box office at 931-455-5321. The performing arts center is located at 404 S. Jackson St.
This year’s showcase will feature performances from Parker Campbell on piano, Jonas Carter on trombone, Sarah Eakin on flute, Ethan Eldridge on euphonium, Isabella English on flute, Elizabeth Garner on violin, Edward Henryon alto saxophone, Josh Jones on French horn, Isaac Lee on baritone vocals, Isaac Parlier on trombone, Charlotte Ponder on alto saxophone, Alexa Thompson on soprano vocals and Josellen Turrentine on soprano vocals.
