Motlow sweeps Snead State in hoops action
Both the Motlow men’s and women’s basketball teams won their third consecutive game Monday with a sweep over non-conference opponent Snead State at Nisbett Center.
Motlow’s women (2-0, 4-3) stormed out to a 13-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back on their way to a 49-40 win over the visiting Parsons. The women will play next at the Cumberland University JV in Lebanon on Nov. 27.
The men’s Bucks (2-0, 4-2) and Snead played to a 38-38 tie at intermission, but Motlow pulled away in the second half on its way to a 78-67 victory. The men will travel to Hanceville, AL this weekend, facing Gadsden State on Friday and Wallace State on Saturday.

Freshman point guard Dan’Angela Wilson had six points, six assists, and five steals. Winchester sophomore Destiny Russell scored nine, and Fayetteville freshman Autum Nunemaker had ten rebounds.
