Walk in a winter wonderland in the 67th Christmas parade

KYLE MURPHYStaff Writer

The 67th annual Tullahoma Christmas Parade, sponsored by Stan McNabb Automotive, is set to help kick start the holiday cheer this Friday, and there’s still time to register.

“It’s officially Tullahoma Christmas Parade week and things are already in full swing,” Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce officials said, “Parade packets are ready for pick up for all who have registered. Everyone who registers this week will be placed in front of the Santa float.

The current parade lineup count as of press time is 113. Those who want to register can visit www.tullahoma.org and click on the parade event.

The 67th Tullahoma Christmas Parade will take place this Fri, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. The parade will take to the streets of downtown Tullahoma and will feature floats from various local businesses, schools, organizations, sporting teams and so on. One of the major changes this year is that the parade’s route has been flipped and will begin at Tullahoma High School and end at South Jackson Performing Arts Center.

This year’s parade theme is “Walking in a Winter Wonderland.” It was submitted by Jack T. Farrar Elementary School student Laney Warren, after a district-wide theme competition. For submitting the winning theme, Jack T. Farrar Elementary will also receive a free float entry into the parade.

This year’s grand marshal for the Christmas parade will be long-time community member Annie Osborne. The Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the 2023 Grand Marshal Reception on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 p.m. at South Jackson Performing Arts Center, located at 404 S. Jackson St. The reception will also feature the lighting of the Tullahoma Christmas Tree.

For more information about the parade, contact the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce at 455-5497, visit Tullahoma.org or follow the chamber of commerce’s social media pages.
