Middle School ‘Cats win District Championship

Tullahoma Middle School Wrestling hosted the District 2 Championships and beat Coffee County 48-30 to claim the title.

The Wildcats took down Cascade in the semi-final 59-24 to advance to Championship match.

After the victory, Tullahoma prepared for Central Tennessee Wrestling Conference tournaments. The individual championships and the team duals. The Wildcats had eight wrestlers place. Cj Weaver placed third in the 86 pound weight class. Elijah Baugh also placed third in the 94 pound class. Gabriel Delaughter was the runner-up in the 130 class.

This year the CTWC had the first ever girls’ division tournament. Sarah Allen was the runner up in the 78 pound class. Claire Hyden won the 94 class. Bella Dalton finished runner up in the 100 class. Kacey Barecky claimed the title for the 115 class. Alysia Dodson was the runner up for the 140 class. The Lady Wildcats finished as the team runner up behind Blackman.

Tullahoma finished fourth at the CTWC team duals championship. They beat Oakland, lost to the eventual champions in Warren County, then beat Siegel to face off with Coffee County in the third place game. The Wildcats lost to the Raiders for the first time all season to finish fourth out of 23 teams.
