City honors employees with Service Awards

Recently, the City of Tullahoma honored employees with their annual Employee Service Awards ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the Tullahoma Country Club, where city employees were recognized for their “dedication, commitment, and exemplary service” according to a statement from the city.
“The Employee Service Awards serve as a testament to the city’s appreciation for its workforce and their invaluable contributions to the betterment of Tullahoma. From public safety to administrative roles, each employee plays a vital role in maintaining the city’s high standards of service delivery and community engagement,” said city officials.
City Administrator Jason Quick said “Our employees are the heartbeat of Tullahoma. Their dedication and tireless efforts make our city a better place to live, work, and visit.”
He added that the ceremony provided a chance for the city to recognize the contribution of city employees.
Employees were recognized for a number of Years of Service awards, from 5 to 35 years of service.
24 employees were recognized for their Years of Service, including Jason Ferrell of the Tullahoma Police Department, who was recognized for 35 years of service.
Jason Damron of the Tullahoma Fire Department and Kenneth Dodson from Public Works were each recognized for 25 years of service, and Kenneth Howard and Larry Sweeton of Public Works received awards from 20 years of service.
Ray Mines of Public Works, Rock Rhoton of the Fire Department and Nena Abbott of Planning and Codes each got recognized for 15 years of service.
Christopher DeTeresa and Josh Nelms of the Fire Department, Willie Young and Leighton Hickerson of the Police Department, Rodney Bell of Public Works and Murray King of Tullahoma Airport each received recognition for 10 years of service.
Amber Steele and Gage Morrison of the Fire Department, Bradley Nestor, Jackie Kalt, Randall Boyette and James Reynolds of Public Works, Theresa Rhoads of Finance, Cynthia Duke of Tullahoma Airport and Jessica Taylor of the Police Department were all recognized for five years of service.
