Vanderbilt Tullahoma – Harton Hospital (VTHH) and the VTHH Patient and Family Advisory Council recently announced Julie Judkins-Giffin, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCS-S, Speech Pathologist, as the recipient of their first Patient & Family Choice Award.  This award differs from others as only patients and their family members can nominate staff.

The plaque given to the recipient includes a lotus flower. The meaning of LOTUS holds power because it can offer hope and strength to people struggling in their daily lives.  Julie was one of eleven (11) final nominees.  As Marilyn Smith, DNP, MSN, RN, NE-BC, CNO read the patient’s nomination for Julie, not a dry eye was in the room, including Julie’s husband, Michael, who was present as well.

Others nominated received certificates and recognition.  VTHH congratulates Julie and all the deserving nominees.  Vanderbilt Tullahoma – Harton Hospital along with the Patient Family Advisory Council are pleased to have another avenue to recognize team members in a very special way.
