Frank Eugene Christman Obituary

Frank Eugene Christman, 74, of Tullahoma passed peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1949 to the late Mary Frances Harris and Harvey Christman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Akira Christman-Ryals and Eric L. Redding.

As a child he was raised up at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and sung in the Inspiration Choir, under the direction of the late Sister Virginia Snipes. Frank attended Davidson Academy and graduated from Tullahoma High School. Frank served in the Army and drove eighteen-wheelers for over 45 years before retiring.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Phyllis Christman; children, Monique Tabbs and Michael Tabbs; siblings, Harvey Leon (Marbalene) Christman, Emma Terry and Jane Christman; grandchildren, Alivia and Ronald Tabbs. Frank cherished all his nieces and nephews and fostered a special relationship with each of them: Candy, April, Donna, Jacquista, Bubba, Weeda, and Bryant.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 18 from 6-7 p.m. at J.A. Welton & Son Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 7 p.m. with Minister Sernobia McGee, officiating. Interment place on Friday, July 19 at Evergreen Cemetery at 9 a.m. with Military Honors. Online condolences may be sent to www.weltonfuneralhome.com.
