Chamber seeking nominations for Citizen of the Year

The Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its Citizen of the Year award for the upcoming annual membership celebration.
The annual celebration of the chamber membership is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center, located at 147 Hospitality Blvd. in Manchester. The cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with awards banquet following at 6:30 p.m. and the live auction will take place afterwards. A cash bar and silent auction items will also be available for all attendees.
Each year, the chamber honors businesses and individuals in the categories of Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, CEO Partner of the Year and Citizen of the Year. Currently, the chamber is looking for the community to nominate individuals and businesses that made an impact on the community in their respective fields over 2024 to be nominated for the awards.
The deadline for submitting a nomination is Friday, Jan. 9, 2025.
Last year’s winners in those categories were Emil’s Bistro & Lounge—Small Business of the Year,
Tullahoma City Schools—Business of the Year, Tullahoma Fire Department–Tullahoma Fire Department and Greg Gressel—Citizen of the Year. Membership in the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce is not required for nominees.
For Citizen of the Year, TACC Executive Director Hope Nunley said the chamber is looking for individuals who are actively involved in making the community a better place through civic organizations, community groups, and/or their church, made significant contributions to the economic well-being of Tullahoma and enhanced the quality of life through their endeavors and the person exhibits leadership and inspiring others with their dedication and achievements.
Anyone who submits a nominee for Citizen of the Year are asked to fill out the nomination form that provides detailed and accurate information about their nominee, a person letter that shares their reasons for nominating this individual. Include specific examples and stories that highlight their contributions and impact and providing evidence of their accomplishments such as: awards and recognition, media coverage of their community involvement, resume or biography.
“We encourage thoughtful nominations that showcase the nominee’s exceptional qualities and the impact they have made on Tullahoma,” Nunley said. “Help us celebrate the unsung heroes of Tullahoma!”
Ticket options to attend the annual membership celebration include $80 for a single ticket, $500 for a half table (seats up to five people) and $1,000 for a full table (seats up to 10 people).
