Tullahoma wrestling takes down Coffee County

The Tullahoma wrestling team took on rival Coffee County on Dec. 18 and secured a win—beating the Red Raiders 54-22.

The Wildcats took an early 18-6 advantage, with Corbin Avans, Kameron Stafford, and Chandler Kile all winning by pins in their respective divisions. The early momentum gained by Tullahoma continued deeper into the meet, with Robert Tatum, Sayvion Surles, and Memphis Oswald also winning by pins for the Wildcats.

Tullahoma’s win over Coffee Co. marked the end of their 1st-semester duals, with them finishing with a record of 14-3. The win over the Red Raiders also shot the Wildcats up the state rankings even further, as they now currently reside as the 4th-ranked team in TN.

Bob Callison, head coach of Tullahoma wrestling, has his wrestlers focused and believing in all of their matches.

Despite whose hand they shake before the ref blows the whistle to initiate the bout, everyone wearing black, gray and red is ready to face whoever stands before them.

With the talent Wildcat wrestlers already possess paired with the mindset coach Callison instills in them, they are not a team to mess around with.
