Harrist performance featured at retired teacher gathering

Reba Lovell Harrist will be the featured entertainer at the Coffee County Retired Teachers gathering March 11 at 11 a.m. at the Coffee County Conference Center in Manchester. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. after the meeting is called to order by President Paul Cooley. Lunch is $15 and paid at the door. Anyone planning to be there email Pat Barton at pbarton1@charter.net.
Harrist is a graduate of Coffee County High School and has been a local resident since 2005. She began singing lessons at the age of 5 and began learning piano. At the age of 9, she began writing her own music and performing locally. She released her first album “The Beginning” in 2010 and her second album, “Good to be me” in 2022. Her work is available under the name Reba Nicole.
Reba and her husband, Grady, are expecting their first child in June.
“Reba Nicole feels unbelievably blessed to be part of the Coffee County community and enjoys teaching and serving others as a registered nurse in labor and delivery,” the Retired Teacher Association press release reads. “She enjoys listing to and singing primarily country and worship music. She currently teaches piano lessons and is hoping to reach the younger community through music.”
Along with Harrist, Diane Tatum will be on hand at the gathering to sign her books. She is a local author who is a retired teacher who uses her free time to write many books, mainly in the romance and mystery genres.
All retired teachers are urged to attend the gathering.
