Two THS wrestlers make the All-Middle TN State Team

The All-Middle Tennessee State wrestling team was recently released, and it revealed two familiar faces—Tullahoma wrestlers Bob Tatum and sophomore Corbin Avans.
The senior Tatum and sophomore Avans both put together spectacular individual seasons as well as helped the team as a whole have a great year on the mat.
THS competed at the state duals as a group after making it through several rounds of qualifications and finished in third place. Tatum and Avans had their fingerprints all over the team’s road to the state duals, as they were constantly winning their matches and helping their team gain points virtually every time they stepped up on the mat.
As far as how the seasons went individually for the two Wildcats, both qualified for the individual state tournament. Tatum finished in fourth place in his weight division and at the event got his 100th career pin in high school competition.
Avans in his weight division sliced his way through the competition and ended up finishing as the runner up, for his second year in a row.
Both Tatum and Avans had seasons to remember and they are both more than worthy to be represented as two of the best wrestlers middle TN has to offer.
