Vets and Bone Spurs
I was speaking to a good friend of mine, and he mentioned he was heading to the VA in Murfreesboro. He is a combat Vietnam Vet and taking advantage of some of therapy there. I complimented him on accepting the help.
I got to thinking. Rightly, we despise some of the treatment that the Vets were exposed to when coming home. Called names, spit at and insulted for their willingness to serve and stand on the wall for us.
Then, a sitting president calls them names (losers, suckers, etc.), removes them from their jobs, and calls our decorated general “a weak and ineffective loser”. Then, insults our Vets by not even having the decency to make up a lie for not attending the fallen Vets memorial – And it’s OK? I guess golf and dinner with the Saudis was more important. The bone spurs sure don’t seem to be bothering him much on the greens. He’s California sober as they say as senility creeps in.
