Party Animals and Easter Bunny visit Tullahoma Day Care Center

Party Animals, a mobile “zoo” owned by Teresa and Nathan Harrell, visited the Tullahoma Day Care Center on Tuesday. Special guests were a four-month-old camel named JD, a Scottish Highland calf, an Asian water buffalo calf, two baby micro mini pigs, a mini-lop rabbit, two sheep and two goats.
The children were able to feed the animals, and took turns with each one at least once. The animals were happy to oblige, and ate as long as the children wanted to feed them. Director Emma Coleman fed JD his bottle, and the teachers even joined in the fun. Dori Henninger, board member of the center, attended, and even sat with a piglet so the children could pet it. The animals seemed to enjoy the children as much as the children enjoyed them.
On Thursday the children were treated to an Easter egg hunt. They scrambled to hunt for over five hundred plastic eggs stuffed with goodies. They did a great job, and no one lacked for eggs in their baskets.
Though the children are not allowed to leave the premises for outside field trips, the staff and board go to amazing lengths to bring fun and exciting experiences to the children. Any child from two to five is eligible to attend the day care center. For more information, check their website at tullahomadaycare.com.
