Tullahoma track and field compete at state

The Tullahoma track and field team was out in full force at the TSSAA State Championship starting on Tuesday. They had a total of nine students compete—Will Hyden, Xavier Farrell, Lucas Willete, Ella Miller, Brindley Duncan, Khani Johnson, Logan Prosser, Jakoby Hill, and Andrew Ewing.

Out of the nine athletes competing at the event for the Wildcats, seven of them finished in the top six of their respective events.

In the 4×200 relay, Johnson, Prosser, Hill, and Ewing finished in sixth place overall with a time of 1:29.83. First place in the event was won with a time of 1:28.63. In the shot put, Hyden secured a sixth-place finish with a throw of 43-1.50. Luke Dark from Anderson County finished first in shot put for the second year in a row, winning with a 62-1 throw. Tullahoma’s Miller competed in the 100m hurdles and grabbed a sixth-place finish with a time of 16.02. First place in the event finished at 15.11. Duncan competed in the 800m event and managed to secure a sixth-place finish, even with an unfortunate fall during the race.

It has been an impressive year already for Tullahoma sports, and the track and field team just added on to it.
