Record crowds and record vendors made this past Independence Day celebration one of the best ever in the opinion of the city board, many of whom pointed to this past July 3 as a return on investment for the annual community event.

“It was the largest crowd I’ve seen in a long time,” said Alderman Sernobia McGee, adding that the set up this year with vendors ringing the baseball diamond and a kid’s zone in the nearby park made for a very fun atmosphere.”

Alderman Kurt Glick agreed, saying the annual event is a highlight for Tullahoma.

“It’s really a great thing we do, putting on that show,” he said of the festival/music concert/fireworks show.

City Administrator Jason Quick gave a hearty amen to the aldermen.

“It’s the event of the year,” he said, pointing out there were 22 food truck vendors on site this past celebration. “It’s a true painting and picture of what Tullahoma is all about,” he noted.
