Senior Center among those given funds by city

Several nonprofits were awarded funding money from the city of Tullahoma, most coming from the area’s hotel/motel tax incomes.

The exceptions to the hotel/motel tax money were the Senior Center which was given $33,911 while Lannom Library was given $15,000 by the city.

According to the city budget, beneficiaries from the hotel/motel tax included the Chamber of Commerce which received $47,045 and South Jackson Performing Arts Center that got $43,624. The Tullahoma Fine Arts center got $23,432 and Hands-On Science Center $13,096. Also receiving funding were Tennessee Backroads Heritage with $7,824 and the Historical Society at $2,956.

The funds were announced as the city of Tullahoma finalized its 2025-26 budget at their first board of mayor and aldermen meeting of the month.
