The Tullahoma girls’ soccer team picked up two more wins in their second week of the 2025 season. These victories were against Lincoln County and school rival Coffee County High School.
Coffee County
The Tullahoma soccer team dominated the game, start to finish, against the Lady Red Raiders, winning 8-0. They were constantly on the attack and almost always initiated the pressure. Through this, there were two players in the game who scored hat tricks for Tullahoma—seniors McLayne Bobo and Avery Sisk. The two other goals in the game were scored by junior Brindley Duncan and senior Lexi Chamblee. In recent history, between THS and CHS, the ‘Cats have won the rivalry game with ease. They have not lost to the Red Raiders since the 2020-2021 season, and in their wins, they have won by an average of 7.5 goals a game. In those four wins, they have also not allowed a goal, recording a shutout in each game.
Lincoln County
Prior to the big win on the eve before the Coffee Pot, the ‘Cats won in their first shutout of the year, beating the Lady Falcons of Lincoln County 3-0.
In this contest, Tullahoma got the bulk of its offensive production from none other than its leading scorer of the 2024 season, Bobo. Bobo in the contest scored two goals. In each game she has played this season she has scored two or more goals. Her high-level play early on this season has not gone unnoticed and is not a surprise to many. Going into the season, The Tennessean named her as one of the top Nashville Area Players coming into 2025.
The other goal in this contest was scored by Duncan on a PK. Duncan was one of the better players on the Wildcats’ roster in 2024. Going into this season, head coach Richie Chadwick had big expectations for her, and she is living up to them.
“Her ability to control the middle and see the field at a higher speed than others,” coach Chadwick said on what has stood out about Duncan’s play so far this year.
Defensively in this contest, Tullahoma played exceptionally well. Starting goal keeper for the ‘Cats, Anzley Holloway, played great, picking up four saves in the shutout win. Tullahoma has two games scheduled for next week against Marshall County and Lawrence County. They play Marshall on Sept 2 and Lawrence on the 4th.
