Editor’s Note: The following Letter to the Editor was submitted by students at Tullahoma High School as a project to write a professional letter. This letter refers to the story “Local man busted for child porn on Discord.”

We think the article is overall good, but there were things such as the low time for the distribution of child pornography, we feel that for the distribution of child pornography there should be a higher sentence in prison than just eight to 12 years.

We feel that that isn’t enough time for someone so young to actually learn what he did was bad and shouldn’t do it. And something as serious as child pornography should be a very serious punishment. And we would have liked more information on it, like what happened to the pornography he shared and to the people who got it.

We believe that no child deserves to be treated like this and therefore thank you for the information. It is important to maintain the safety of children and protect them from people like this as there are some out there who have got away with doing stuff like this. Information like this helps us be informed on what’s going around the world. We thank you for this information that you’ve given us and continue to spread the word.
