The Reserve at Katewood coming to Cedar Lane
L
Ground has been broken on The Reserve at Katewood apartment complex at 1315 Cedar Lane. The 3.6 acre site is just south of NHC Healthcare.
Phase 1 of the project includes a 43 unit three building complex composed of 26 two bedroom two full bathroom apartments and 17 one bedroom one bathroom apartments. Rental prices have not been determined.
The project is being developed by fourth generation Murfreesboro based builder Frank Throneberry. He anticipates completing Phase 1 in June 2026.
On Monday evening the Tullahoma Regional Planning Commission approved a request by Throneberry to add Phase 2 with eleven additional buildings and 183 apartments. The request was unanimously approved by the Commission.
When both Phases are complete, the property will have 14 buildings and 226 apartments.
When asked why he chose Tullahoma to build, Throneberry offered, “I just like Tullahoma-always have. The people here are nice and it’s good place to work. When my partners and I started Brooks Healing Center, a rehabilitation center for alcohol and drug abuse at the Parish Patch Inn in Normandy, I would come to Tullahoma for supplies at lunch. I saw a need for housing and started my research. My research confirmed the need. I am excited about bringing a nice product here to Tullahoma.”
Numerous interior and exterior amenities are planned for the apartments. There will be four floor plans some with one floor and others two floors. Interior features include granite countertops and plank flooring in the kitchen, living rooms and bathrooms. The one story apartments will have a brick exterior. Several apartments will be ADA accessible. There will be an office as well as a model apartment available on site for viewing.
The Reserve at Katewood is named after the Throneberry’s daughter, Piper Kate.
