Heather Marie Hamilton of Hillsboro passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the age of 41.

Heather was born in Jacksonville, FL to Steve Hamilton and the late Victoria Dourm. During her life, Heather worked as the manager of the VFW in Estill Springs. This was not just a job, however. Heather loved all of the veterans at the VFW, was passionate about helping them, and she will be remembered fondly and missed by everyone there. She was an amazing friend; you could count on her for anything at any time, and she would find a way to help you. Heather’s children and grandchildren were the sunshine of her life, and her fiancé, Greg was her soulmate. She was also devout Florida Gators fan. In addition to her mother, Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Esther Brandt, and Patrick and Beverly Doughty; the father of her children, Samuel Oliver; and her fathers-in-law, George English, and Adam “Pee Wee” Gregoire.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her fiancé, Greg English; daughter, Alissa Pellar (Ricky Kelly); sons, Caden Oliver, Gavin English (Alliah Lenhart), and Gage Edwards; brothers, Chris Dykes (Angela), and Andy Dykes; grandchildren, Alaina, Grayson, Asher, Ramzie, Haisley, Estelle, and Dazelynn; mother-in-law, Yvette Gregoire; sister-in-law, Shelley Brittain (Bobby); nephew, Michael Brittain; nieces, Brianna and Jasmine Dykes; and Ethan Brady.

Visitation for Heather will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026 from 2-5 p.m. at Kilgore Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Heather’s life will follow at 5 p.m. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in lieu of flowers be made to her beloved VFW Post 1893- 6200 AEDC Rd. Estill Springs, TN 37330.
