James “Cheetah” Bowen, 65
James “Cheetah” Bowen, 65, of Manchester passed from this life Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at his residence.
Mr. Bowen was born in Manchester to his late parents James Gerald Bowen and Zoe Ann Duke Bowen. He worked at Batesville Casket Co. for 45 years until his retirement and was a member of the United Steelworkers union, serving as president for a short time. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He always enjoyed having family meals and cheering on any Tennessee sports teams. Mr. Bowen also loved tinkering with tractors and cars at his house and enjoyed listening to old country music. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Tom Bowen and son-in-law, Kevin Stolinsky.
Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Connie Bowen; sons, James Michael Bowen (Krystina) and Matt Asher (Renee); daughters, Bethany Arrigo (Tony); step-daughters, Casey Stolinsky and Megan Cole (Marcus); grandchildren, Maddie Scott, Maggie Irons, William Mason Irons, Anna Stolinsky, Shelby Arrigo, Laurana Cole, James Luke Bowen; a host of several close friends and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. at Central Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at noon in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery in Coffee Co.
