Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast Benefiting Imagination Library of Coffee County is set for this Saturday, March 7, at Damron’s Restaurant.

The Imagination Library of Coffee County invites the community to attend the Green Eggs and Ham breakfast 8-10 a.m., on Saturday, March 7, at Damron’s Restaurant in Tullahoma. Tickets are $12, and children ages 4 and under eat free. Guests can expect a warm, family friendly morning with a hearty breakfast, fellow book lovers, and supporters of early childhood literacy. A Dolly Parton cutout, a favorite photo spot at past events, will also be available. All proceeds go toward providing books for children in Coffee County. Tickets may be purchased from any board member or at the door on the day of the event.

“This event is always filled with laughter and good vibes. It’s such a pleasure for us to spend time with community members who support early childhood literacy, and we can’t wait to see you there,” said Daphanie Gragg, chair of the Imagination Library of Coffee County. “Children who participate in the Imagination Library program are more likely to perform at grade level, score higher on literacy assessments, and show gains in math and cognitive development. Your support at events like this helps make those outcomes possible.”

Imagination Library of Coffee County provides books to children from birth to age 5 in Coffee County every month thanks to a partnership with Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library selects the books, mails them, and covers operational overhead costs. The cost for purchasing the books is split between Imagination Library of Coffee County and Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation.

About 3,000 children in Coffee County receive books at no cost to their families every month. As a volunteer run nonprofit, the Imagination Library of Coffee County relies on community fundraising to sustain the program each year.
