THS names Class of 2026 top 10 percent
Tullahoma High School has announced the top 10 percent for the Class of 2026. Brycen Campbell was named the Class Valedictorian, and Leah Fogarty was named Salutatorian for this year’s graduating class.

Over 100 family, friends and well-wishers gathered in the NHC dining room Friday afternoon to congratulate Veteran James Hise on the special occasion of his 100th birthday.

The city of Tullahoma has been approved for a $10,000 grant for the upcoming America 250 celebration.

County Attorney says ouster proceedings not justified
County Attorney Mark Williams sent a memorandum dated April 8 at the request of County Mayor Dennis Hunt to update the County Commission on the results of his investigation into alleged misconduct by Commissioner Joe Mike Hodge that potentially could have led to ouster proceedings.
Boater drowns at Normandy Lake
The body of a man who died after his boat hit a tree on Normandy Lake has been found. Earlier in the day on Friday, April 10, the sheriff’s office received a call at about 1 p.m. about a boat floating near Fire Lake with no one on board. The sheriff’s office, along with assistance from both Coffee County and Warren County rescue and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, began searching and diving the area to find the owner of the boat.
Man killed in fall at Old Stone Fort
A Nashville man hiking with his girlfriend at Old Stone Fort Park fell to his death this past Thursday, losing his balance as he swatted at an insect before plummeting over 20 feet over a cliff.

Jon Cook benefit concert Friday
A benefit concert for Jon Cook will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at First Methodist Church in the Family Activities Center. A $20 donation is suggested. The lineup of performers will include Jim and Inge Wood and Angela and Alex Stidham, Tennessee Banjo champion Joey Gipson, international guitar champion Shane Adkins and Mike Rudder and Friends. The church is located at 208 W. Lauderdale Street in Tullahoma.

Dot recalls induction into Women Impacting Community
If you read the local newspaper or follow the Chamber of Commerce web-site, you are aware that the annual event entitled “Women Impacting the Community” will be occurring again this year on 5 May at the Atlantic venue and tickets are available at the Chamber office. It is always a lovely event so I hope to see you there.
