TUA to increase water and wastewater rates
The Tullahoma Utilities Authority (TUA) Board of Directors approved revising the rates of both water and wastewater.

Brothers earn Eaker Award
Two Union City cadets, 18-year-old Graysen Crawford and 17-yearold Wyatt Crawford, were recognized with the Ira C. Eaker Award during a visit to the Tullahoma Composite Squadron’s weekly meeting. The award is earned by only two percent of all Civil Air Patrol cadets and is one of the highest promotions available in the cadet program — a milestone surpassed only by the Spaatz Award. The ceremony highlighted not only their accomplishments, but also the character, leadership, and perseverance that brought them to this point.

Reassessment is not a property tax increase
Coffee County Tax Assessor Elissa Fletcher is assuring the community that her office did not raise property taxes after concerns were raised when local residents received their new appraised property values last week.

Tullahoma sisters raise funds for veterans
Cassidy and Dakoda Haney, two dedicated sisters from Tullahoma, are making a meaningful impact for the nation’s veterans through a heartfelt fundraising effort. By crafting and selling beaded bracelets and gathering donations, the girls have raised a total of $361 to support veterans in their community.

Friends of Short Springs hold workday
The Friends of Short Springs hosted a workday on the morning of May 16. Under the supervision of Ranger Marlie Gibbs from Old Stone Fort State Park, 11 volunteers conducted repairs on the Collier-Horn Bridge and graded some sections of trail on the Laurel Loop Trail.
